From the very first inquiry call, I knew Maddie and Michael were going to be something special. As we chatted about the vision for their wedding day, I instantly felt that connection — the excitement, the laughter, and that undeniable sense of joy that always comes when two people are truly in love. It was a call full of smiles, and by the end, I couldn’t wait to be a part of their story!

So when that email came through confirming they wanted to move forward with booking, I could hardly contain my excitement! I remember jumping out of my seat, feeling so incredibly honored and grateful that they chose me to capture such an important chapter of their lives! And what an honor it truly was.

Maddie and Michael’s Dreamy Colorado Wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch

Maddie and Michael’s summer Colorado wedding day was at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, Colorado. Their wedding day was a perfect blend of elegance, romance, and natural beauty all planned by Every Little Detail Wedding. Spruce Mountain Ranch offers sweeping views of the Colorado mountains and lush, green surroundings, providing the perfect backdrop.

Maddie and Michael were surrounded by their closest friends and family while getting ready for their big day! The day started off with Maddie getting ready with her bridesmaids at Ruby’s Cottage located on their venue site. The bridal suite had an intimate and serene vibe. Maddie and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done by Blush Now. After hair and makeup was finished, it was time for Maddie to get into her gorgeous wedding dress!

Meanwhile, Michael and his groomsmen were equally excited, sharing a few laughs as they prepped for the big day. They were getting ready at the groom’s getting-ready cottage located on site at Spruce Mountain playing pool and having a cold one together!

Colorado Spruce Mountain Ceremony: A Moment of Pure Joy

Then, it was time for Maddie and Michael’s beautiful wedding celebration ceremony at Spruce Mountain Ranch. Maddie and Michael chose to have their wedding ceremony at the Lower Ranch site within Spruce Mountain’s property. This location was perfect as it offered open meadow views with mountainous backdrop.

As a wedding photographer, there are certain moments that just stay with you. When Maddie walked down the aisle with her father, I could hardly take my eyes off the stunning view before me. Not only was the venue at Spruce Mountain Ranch a breathtaking backdrop, but the emotion in the air was palpable. As all the guests rose to their feet to witness Maddie’s entrance, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. The love between Maddie and Michael was already so evident, and this moment—this milestone—was just the beginning of an unforgettable and amazing day!

One of my favorite parts of every wedding is capturing the groom’s reaction as he watches his bride make her way toward him. And Michael’s face, when he turned to see Maddie walking down the aisle, was one of those moments I’ll never forget. It’s pure magic seeing that raw emotion and anticipation, and I always make sure to be ready to snap that picture that captures the love, joy, and awe in the groom’s expression! Michael’s smile was a reflection of just how deeply he cherishes Maddie!

A Sunset to Remember: Maddie & Michael’s Beautiful Wedding at Spruce Mountain

Once their wedding ceremony concluded, we took a short pause to allow the couple to catch their breath before heading off to their sunset “just married” portraits. At Spruce Mountain Ranch, there’s no shortage of incredible photo spots, and I couldn’t wait to take advantage of the beautiful scenery surrounding us! We started at the Lower Ranch Ceremony site, which offered the perfect setting for some intimate and romantic shots of the two of them! We made our way toward the pond area on their site for more landscape portraits that were nothing short of stunning!

The entire evening was filled with so much laughter, joy, and love! Maddie and Michael have this natural energy about them, and every moment was just pure fun. Their chemistry was undeniable, and as their Colorado wedding photographer, it was impossible not to feel lucky to be part of their big day. I know these portraits will serve as cherished memories for years to come.

The Reception: A Night to Remember at Spruce Mountain Ranch

As the night went on and the party kicked into full gear, it was clear that this crew knew how to throw a celebration! The dance floor was packed, and the energy was infectious thanks to the amazing MC Events Co. There’s something about that moment between a father and his daughter that always pulls on my heartstrings during their first dance together. But then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Maddie’s dad absolutely killed it on the dance floor. Yes, you heard that right—he broke out into an epic break dance routine that left everyone cheering and smiling so big!

To cap off this unforgettable night, I snuck Maddie and Michael away for a quick flash photo session in front of Michael’s retro car. Some of my absolute favorite images from their day! Those night shots are such a great way to end the visual story of their fun wedding celebration!

But beyond just creating stunning images, I left that day with something even more valuable: the gift of new friendships. Maddie and Michael are two of the most genuine, kind-hearted people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. I feel incredibly thankful for the opportunity to capture such an important moment in their lives. I truly know I’ve made friends for life, and I’ll always treasure our time together!
