Sarah and Mitch’s wedding at Flagstaff House Boulder at the end of June was SO beautiful! These two are such delightful people and it was an amazing experience capturing their wedding day, which was full of so many fun moments!
I always like to get some getting-ready photos first thing, as I think it captures the anticipation and excitement so well! The bride and groom got ready at different locations (Sarah at an Airbnb in Boulder, CO with her friends and family, Mitch at a nearby hotel with his friends), so my second shooter and I traveled between the two so we didn’t miss a thing!
I especially loved doing these getting ready photos that morning because there was so much excitement in the air! Sarah and Mitch had decided to share a first look together before the ceremony and they were so eager to see each other!
The weather and setting at Flagstaff House couldn’t have been more perfect. Gorgeous sunshine and lots of wildflowers blooming. It made the ideal backdrop for the bride and groom to share their private first look together. And I have to say—there wasn’t a dry eye! Both myself (the photographer) and the videographers were getting emotional while capturing the beauty and intimacy of that moment!
I think my favorite part, was when Mitch gifted Sarah a constellation star map of the exact location where they had shared their first date together. I mean seriously, how sweet is that?
Their wedding ceremony at Flagstaff had the most amazing overlook with stunning mountain views. Absolutely incredible—and yet, when I looked at Mitch as his bride walked towards him down the aisle, it was like the mountains didn’t exist. He had eyes only for her! This is always one of the best moments for me, seeing the bride and groom lock eyes and just feeling the love that they have for each other. There is nothing like it!
After the ceremony, we adventured around the wildflower meadow field to capture more stunning and romantic photos for their just married portraits! The pop of color the wildflowers added was such a colorful and pretty detail in their wedding photo gallery!
After some intimate time alone in that beautiful wildflower meadow, it was time to rejoin the rest of the wedding party so everyone could celebrate together. Sarah and Mitch had so much fun dancing with all their loved ones under one roof. Speaking of which, I have to say, I was just about blown away when Mitch shared his first dance with his daughter. WOW! They are ballroom dancers and it was incredible! I couldn’t stop smiling, it was just amazing to watch!
I really didn’t want it to end, but their sendoff with bubbles was so fun that it kind of made up for having to say goodbye. Sarah and Mitch, thank you so much for trusting me with capturing these precious memories of your special day together! I wish you both every happiness in life and I am so glad you found each other!! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Kibel!
