Nestled among the mountains and foothills of Colorado lies Roxborough State Park. This park is a must for those seeking the beauty of nature. It was the striking red rock formations and mountain foothills, that led Caroline and Josh to choose to capture their engagement at Roxborough State Park in Littleton, Colorado.
For their Colorado Engagement Photoshoot, Roxborough was their top choice. A place where the beauty of Colorado’s outdoors could mirror the adventurous spirit that defines their relationship. Caroline and Josh wanted their engagement photos to reflect their love for nature and shared interests. Such as incorporating Carboy wine into their photoshoot where their love journey forever began! You can see in the photos down below!
Caroline and Josh’s love journey to this momentous occasion began with a story of friendship, distance, and undeniable love! Growing up on the same street in New Hampshire, their paths intertwined through shared connections and a bond that deepened over time. After years of friendship and distance, fate brought them closer together once again in January 2023. Caroline was still in New Hampshire at this time and Josh had moved to Colorado.
Their love continued to bloom through months of long-distance dating. Bridging 2,000 miles apart, and a significant time difference with virtual date nights and heartfelt conversations. Every moment spent together over the phone or in-person, strengthened their relationship more and more. After 6 months, Caroline had sold her condo, packed a pod, and bought a one way ticket to Colorado. To start their life together in the same state and same time zone! 5 months later, Josh got down on one knee to propose to Caroline!
Caroline and Josh’s proposal story is a testament to their shared love of spontaneity and adventure. Picture a February evening, surrounded by friends and family and the glow of Christmas lights at Angelo’s Taverna in Littleton. As they arrived to the restaurant, Josh held Caroline’s hand into the warm ambiance of the restaurant. After enjoying a nice meal together, Josh led Caroline outside to a grassy area out front that was beautifully lit with dreamy Christmas lights. After a couple of pictures together, Caroline had turned around to see Josh down on one knee to propose!
Further, Caroline did not know that their dear friends Taylor and Sam had orchestrated a beautiful moment to capture their proposal with drone video footage. To ensure capturing the celebration that would be continued throughout the night at Carboy Winery, where bottles of champagne awaited for them!
Lastly, Caroline and Josh’s Colorado Engagement Session wasn’t just about photographs – it was about capturing the essence of their journey together. From the streets of New Hampshire, to the mountains of Colorado. The promise of a future filled with hikes, culinary adventures, and cherished moments together always. At Roxborough State Park, Caroline and Josh’s engagement session became a timeless tribute to the beauty of love and the joy of finding your soulmate!
It is my true passion behind photography of getting to document such beautiful and romantic moments for each of my clients. Caroline and Josh, it truly is such an honor to get to witness and document your love story! Congratulations to these lovebirds! I cannot wait to capture their wedding day at Mount Vernon Canyon Club next April in 2025! The countdown has already begun!
Warmly,
Whitney Marshall
