Dawson Butte Open Space Summer Engagement

Today, I have the greatest honor of sharing about Elsa and Carson’s Summer Engagement at Dawson Butte Open Space located in Castle Rock, Colorado. Elsa and Carson’s wedding was on June 8th, 2024, so we planned to hold their Engagement Session during the week they were in town for their wedding.

Capturing Moments: The Essence of Carson and Elsa’s Love Story

To begin, love stories often unfold in the most unexpected places. For Carson and Elsa, it began with a simple swipe on a dating app. Which then blossomed into a beautiful journey filled with shared moments and cherished memories!

Their love story began at Colorado State University (CSU), where Carson and Elsa were both students, are their lives crossed paths through a dating app. It was a quick connection, sparked by Carson’s intriguing fun fact about squirrels that caught Elsa’s attention. From that moment, it started lots of conversations and a deep connection that neither could resist.

Despite initial hesitations about meeting a stranger from the internet, Elsa found herself drawn to Carson’s warmth and charm. Their first date, a casual coffee date that turned into an afternoon outdoors at Horsetooth Reservoir, set the stage for what would become a profound bond. It became evident to both of them that something special was unfolding between them!

In the midst of busy college schedules and fleeting moments, Carson and Elsa’s relationship blossomed. From navigating long-distance hurdles to embracing new adventures, their love stood strong and they became each other’s rock. With each passing season, their connection deepened affirming their shared vision of a future together!

Next, it was time for the proposal! With the help of loved ones, Carson orchestrated a beautiful surprise proposal that mirrored the magic of their first date. Returning to Horsetooth Reservoir, where their love story began, Carson asked Elsa to embark on a lifetime of love by his side! Together, they all celebrated with family and friends at a brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado. The air buzzed with joy and the promise of a future filled with love and shared dreams!

Creating Memories: Carson and Elsa’s Dawson Butte Engagement Session

For their Engagement Session, Carson and Elsa envisioned mountains, foothills, and open fields. Which then led them to choose to have their Summer Engagement Session at Dawson Butte Open Space. This location offers an abundance of trails, beautiful wildflowers in the summer, and open meadow fields. We spent the afternoon near sunset time with so much happiness and laughter. Elsa and Carson love to golf, so they even brought their golf clubs to take pictures with at the end of the session!

Lastly, Carson and Elsa’s engagement session is more than just a collection of photographs. It is a true testament to the power of love, and the beauty that it brings. As they embark on this new chapter together, I wish that their love story continues to inspire and illuminate the hearts of all of those around them!
