Engagement Photographer Colorado Springs

I absolutely love story telling! One of my favorite things about Engagement Photoshoots, is that I get to do just that. I get to witness each of my couple’s own unique, beautiful love stories! Then, I get to create and tell their love story through the photos that I capture. I truly believe that God gifted me this talent and art of Photography, so that I can bring meaningful and beautiful things into this world! For me, that is getting to produce unique imagery so that you can have memories to look back on for years to come.

As your Engagement Photographer in Colorado Springs, it is my goal to serve you the best experience as possible! Keep reading to hear about my dear friends, Josie and Caleb’s beautiful love story. The story from how they met, up to the proposal! I can’t wait to capture their beautiful wedding this fall in September!

How they met

It all started, when Josie and Caleb first met at a party in college. They both attended Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) in Lincoln, Nebraska. From secret text chains, to staying up late at night eating Oreos together, Josie and Caleb started to develop strong feelings for one another! They instantly connected and found lots of things to talk about together! Josie shared, “Caleb and I would stay up until about 3 or 4 in the morning talking about life and eating Oreos”.

Their relationship grew even stronger as years passed! Josie and Caleb started a tradition together of going to Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. They shared with me that they both have a love for nachos. Josie and Caleb would set their alarm 30 minutes before the bar would close, so that they could go to Fuzzy’s Taco Shop before everyone from the bars headed to Fuzzy’s. To this day, Josie and Caleb go to Fuzzy’s on their anniversary each year. This is such a fun tradition!

Proposal story

Their proposal story begins when Josie was coming back home from a trip in Alabama for a few days. Josie returned back home to Caleb’s siblings being in town, and they were all staying with them for a few days. Together, they had all decided to go on a hike. However, their plans were delayed due to attending a soccer game that went into double overtime. Josie was eager to embark upon their hiking adventure. However, the atmosphere between everyone else was relaxed and no one seemed to be in a rush. Little did Josie know, that a proposal was being planned in the process! How exciting! Caleb had this day all planned out with his siblings, and he wanted it to go perfectly!

Finally, the time came when everyone was ready to set off on their hiking adventure – 6 total people and 2 sweet pups. Their hiking adventure took an unexpected turn and they all found themselves lost amidst the winding trails. This didn’t stop them. Together, they pressed on and eventually found their way back on track! Eventually, they all found their way to a magnificent open view stretching out before them.

Proposal Story Continued

In this exact moment, an idea sparked within Josie’s heart. Josie was thinking, “This would be a good spot to get engaged”. Little did she know, Caleb had the exact same idea and spark in his heart too! Turning around to Caleb to speaking those words, Josie was overfilled with excitement and joy to find Caleb’s siblings holding their phones up ready to document the moment, and to find Caleb down on one knee to pop the question! The moment was filled with immense pure joy and love! Each of Caleb’s siblings provided so much support to help make this moment happen for Josie and Caleb. By eagerly capturing every angle and precious moment of the proposal on their phones.

Lastly, they ended the night all together at a cozy restaurant to celebrate Josie and Caleb’s newfound chapter! I have no doubt in my mind, that this night was a night full of shared joy, laughter, love, and a testament to Josie and Caleb’s love story!
